CMS participates at OSVconference

On 6-7 December 2022, the annual OSJ Energy Middle East conference took place in Dubai, UAE, organized by Riviera Maritime Media Ltd. This year the conference was entitled Digitalization|Decarbonization|Future fuels. While addressing the key topics and themes, the conference brought together regional and international players in the offshore support vessel (OSV) sector, providing a unique platform to identify new opportunities, tackle challenges and knowledge share to ensure your company is positioned for growth. The event is usually a good opportunity to keep the marine industry reps abreast about the market. It is the hub of OSV-related discussions – always informative, innovative and the right place for exploring new opportunities with all participants. It is of vital importance that OSV owners and operators hear directly from their potential customers as to what their needs are.

The 2022 agenda focused on the key opportunities for future vessel utilization. Industry experts shared their views on market status, funding, new business models, digitalization, optimized efficiencies, future fuels for decarbonization and what the near and short term holds for vessel owners and operators.

CMS was represented by the top management - Mr. Carl Rolaston, CMS Supervisory Board chairman; Mr. Farid Gurbanov, CMS CEO/Executive Board chairman and Mr. Akshin Rahimov, Deputy CEO/ Chief Commercial & Contracts Officer. Mr. Akshin Rahimov made a presentation on Opportunities and challenges in the Caspian region”. The CMS rep updated the audience about the marine business industry in the Caspian region. He presented the review of the challenges facing operating in the Caspian and current difficulties in mobilizations due to the Russian/Ukraine conflict. Mr. Rahimov wrapped up his speech re the plans, ideas, and prognoses on what the future holds.
